Belo Monte is a hydroelectric dam that the government intends to install in the heart of the Amazon, the Big Bend of the Xingu River in the city of Altamira, Pará. The documentary is an independent and collective project about this work, filmed during three expeditions to the region Rio Xingu, revealing behind the scenes of the most controversial planned work in Brazil, with interviews with key stakeholders, including indigenous leaders (such as chiefs and Raoni Megaron), the District Attorney (Felicio Pontes), the president of Funai (Márcio Meira ) and local politicians for the construction.
