Vijf jonge schoolkinderen genieten van een rustige zomer in een klein dorpje. Er is weinig aan de hand, tot ze een hondje genaamd Pochi vinden. Hij blijkt geen hond te zijn, maar een buitenaards wezen. Pochi neemt ze mee op een avontuur in de ruimte, langs ontelbaar veel planeten en wezens.
