Baby Let Your Hair Hang Down

Georgia Van Cuylenburg is a young Australian comedian who lives in Hollywood, California. Her life goal has always been to change the world, one smile at a time. In 2007, Georgia lost all of her hair suddenly, and was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease alopecia areata. For the first time in her life, she found it hard to smile. Rather than hiding away, choosing an easier career and giving in to her disorder, Georgia decided to go loud and proud. She allowed cameras into her life to share what it is like to be a woman who is losing her hair, especially one who relies on her appearance to make a living. She shared her tears, her pain and her triumphs. She put them all together into one film to show the world how she learned that life is not about the hair on your head, it is about the lessons you learn, the friends you find and the difference you can make.
