Cuando un policía se depierta después de una noche de fiesta, descubre que su pistola, (un arma propiedad del estado y cargada con tres balas), ha desaparecido. Mientras intenta hacer memoria de la noche anterior, su antigua novia aparece muerta y la bala resulta ser de su pistola. Ahora, para limpiar su nombre y convencer a las autoridades de que él no es el asesino, debe luchar contrarreloj para encontrar el arma antes de que las otras dos balas encuentren a sus próximas víctimas.
