Le roi Gwang-hae ordonne à son plus proche conseiller Heo Kyun de lui trouver un sosie afin d’échapper à la constante menace d’assassinat qui pèse sur lui. Celui-ci découvre Ha-sun, qui ressemble remarquablement au roi. Lorsque le roi est empoisonné, Heo Kyun propose à Ha-sun de prendre sa place le temps que le souverain recouvre ses moyens.
