Tras ser abandonado por su madre, el joven Malony lleva desde que tenía 6 años entrando y saliendo del juzgado de menores. El matrimonio formado por Florence, instructora de menores a punto de jubilarse, y Yann, maestro que también tuvo una infancia difícil, adoptará al chico, de 15 años, para reformar su comportamiento. Por ello, Malony es enviado a un estricto centro educativo, donde conoce a Tess, una chica muy especial que le ofrecerá razones para cambiar.
