Als Adolf Hitler am 1. August 1936 die Olympischen Sommerspiele von Berlin eröffnet, ist das zugleich der Startschuss für eine perfekte Inszenierung. Die Spiele werden zum Propagandafest der Nationalsozialisten. Das Dokudrama zeichnet die Ereignisse nach. Im Mittelpunkt der Dokumentation steht Wolfgang Fürstner (Simon Schwarz), der Kommandant des Olympischen Dorfes.
