A struggling television network is about to go under. A down-on-his-luck film director (Robert Curtis-Brown, “Trading Places,” “It’s Complicated”) has an idea for "the reality show to end all reality shows." It seems like the perfect match. With nothing to lose, he sets out to change television. PUBLIC INTEREST chronicles the high hopes and low blows of making a reality TV show that no one was ready for. As the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into the months, the antics of the show grow from hilarious to heartbreaking, then disastrous- culminating in an ending you have to see to believe.
