Madame Souza lebt mit ihrem Enkel Champion und ihrem Hund Bruno in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Schon als Kleinkind trainiert Champion auf seinem Kinderfahrrad, um als junger Mann an Radrennen teilzunehmen. Doch dann passiert das Unglaubliche: Während der Tour de France wird Champion von zwei dunklen Gestalten gekidnappt und per Schiff in die Stadt Belleville verschleppt. Oma Souza und Bruno nehmen sogleich die Verfolgung auf - mit Hilfe eines Tretboots.
