Life, Above All
Die 12-jährige Chanda wächst in einfachen, aber liebevollen Verhältnissen im ländlichen Township Elandsdoorn in der südafrikanischen Provinz auf. Sie ist eine gute Schülerin und blickt zuversichtlich auf ihr Leben und ihre Zukunft. Doch Chandas Welt verändert sich schlagartig, als ihre einjährige Schwester Sara stirbt und kurz darauf ihr Stiefvater Jonah verschwindet. Als auch noch ihre geliebte Mutter Lillian schwer erkrankt, ist Chanda völlig auf sich gestellt und muss die Verantwortung für ihre zwei jüngeren Geschwister übernehmen.
