Maatichya Chuli explores in a humorous manner the archetypal relationship between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The mother starts to feel insecure: Will the daughter-in-law steal my son away from me. This thought plants the seed of dislike in her mind. Soon, a full-fledged war breaks out between the two. And guess who gets caught in the crossfire? Their hapless husbands, of course.
