Cuando un joven monje se ve obligado a abandonar su monasterio empobrecido usa sus extraordinarias habilidades en las artes marciales para sobrevivir en el mundo exterior. En busca de un mentor, se cruza con un maestro de Kung Fu que está en posesión del Libro de los Secretos y le revela el arte perdido de la letal técnica del puño del mono.
