La historia gira en torno a los miembros “algo raros pero monos” de un equipo de animadores en una universidad masculina. Shueisha publicó la novela original en 2013, y como complemento al anime publicará una adaptación en manga titulada Cheer Danshi!! GO BREAKERS, dibujada por Kenichi Kond?, en la app Sh?nen Jump+ a partir del 5 de abril.
