Hamatora ist der Name einer kleinen privaten Detektei, die zwei aufgeweckte Burschen - Nice und Murasaki - in Yokohama betreiben. Beide Jungs sind sogenannte „Minimum-Holder“. 'Minimum '- ist eine besondere angeborene Kraft, die nur sehr wenigen Menschen eigen ist. Für die Detektivarbeit von Nice und Murasaki erweist sich diese Minimum-Kraft als überaus nützlich.
