Because of Tandy's actions in this uncharted territory, she deactivates Ty's powers just when he needs them the most and they both have to find a way to be heroes without them.

As Ty, Tandy, and Brigid try to stop Mayhem from tearing apart the city to discover the people trafficking girls, Ty fears he identifies too closely with Mayhem’s rage-filled version of vigilantism. Meanwhile, Tandy is initially horrified by Mayhem’s brutal methods, but as she sees the damage the traffickers do, she comes to see Mayhem’s side. Brigid learns that without her Mayhem half, she is not the cop she needs to be. In flashback, Mayhem’s origin is revealed, as she learns about her newfound power – and what to do with it.
