2017 - Season 7
The meeting between Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue initiates the killing desire of Yanxun, and then he starts to use the feeling of Yuwen Yue for Chu Qiao. The prince Xiang has sent the troops to support Yuwen Yue in case of accidents. Yuan Song tries to persuade his brother to treat the troops but fails. The troops of Black Eagle approach the border of Meilin by three routes. Chu Qiao knows Cheng Yuan drove a wedge between her and Yanxun, so she decides to lead the troop of Xiuli to Hong Chuan. On the way to Hong Chuan, Chu Qiao finds out something is wrong, so she makes a complete break with Yanxun and goes to the ice lake to save Yuwen Yue. Yue Qi fights and dies. At last, Cheng Yuan is killed by Chu Qiao. Yuwen Yue is terribly injured on the ice lake, and Chu Qiao defeats all the enemies. However, the ice lake cracks, and Chu Qiao follows Yuwen Yue to jump into the extremely cold water. Yuwen Yue pushes Chu Qiao away and chooses to die, while the equinox flower on Chu Qiao's back is blossoming at that time.

Chun'er meets Yuan Son, which makes Yuan Song so happy, so he goes to the kitchen to cook in person. But when he finishes the cooking, Chun'er is missing, while there is a sentence on the wall, which is said "I will see you in the next life." Yanxun has headache frequently, Chun'er just takes the chance to approach him with disguising herself as a doctor. When Chun'er is discovered by the maidservants of the palace, Yanxun decides not to kill Chun'er but make an apology and let her go. Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue meet with each other and talk. ?Chu Qiao tells him about Yan Xun's change and her dream. She thinks that she owes a lot to Yuwen Yue. When Zhong Yu meets Chu Qiao, she wants Chu Qiao to persuade Yan Xun not to be blinded by hatred. She also mentions Mr.Wu. Through the introduction of Zhong Yu, Chu Qiao meets with Mr.Wu, from whom she knows who herself is. The princess of the Liang State Xiao Yu gets dispirited and roams about for months, because she found that her intimate friend was Yuwen Yue, her biggest enemy. When her men finds her, she finally picks herself up and meets with Young Master Yue again.

The Xiuli Army are not able to get the trust of Yan Xun. Chu Qiao pleads for forgiveness for them to Yan Xun after they were set up but Yan insists his order. He kills all those "rebels", and punishes He Xiao to accept flopping. Chu Qiao rides on her horse and leaves in anger. Yan Xun goes to visit her at night and tells her his thoughts. but Chu knows that they have stepped on the different path. Yuan Chun is ordered to suicide by the majesty. Wei Shuye comes to save her but is shot to death. Chu learned that the Xiuli Army were ordered to go find intelligence on the frozen river. She feels that something wrong is happening and rushes there on her horse. She meet master Yue on the way.

Meng Feng and the others were released privately, which made Yanxun doubt that Chu Qiao was the one who did this. The Princess Chun'er finds a little brother whose mother just passed away, so she is planning to foster him to be the heir to the throne. The emperor of the Wei State falls ill. So Chun'er takes the chance to get the revenge. She wants to kill her father and assist her little brother to succeed to the throne. When the emperor of the Wei State is being forced to drink the posion, the Prince Xiang shows up and stops Yuan Chun. Yuan Song has a heart-to-heart talk with Meng Feng, and Meng Feng tells him about the misery of her childhood to enlighten Yuan Song.
5. Episode 7
2017 - Season 7
Yuan Song stations at the border of Meilin. He has no hope for the future. Yuwen Yue tries to comfort him. During the questioning of Cheng Yuan, Yan Xun learns that Chu Qiao is not respected by many soldiers because she disrupted Yan Xun's plan to attack Chang'an. Cheng Yuan tries to assassinate Yuan Song at night. Then he is hurt by the Arrow of Ice shot by Yuwen Yue. Yuwen Yue's subordinate, Meng Feng, goes into the city of Hongchuan, disguised as a farmer who delivers forage to the army. She wants to set a fire in the barn in Yanbei. Chu Qiao discovers her plan, but does nothing about it. Chu Qiao wants to catch all of the spies in the city of Hongchuan. Meng Feng is hurt during the fight. The letter counterfeited by Chu Qiao seems perfect. However, Yuwen Yue recognises this is written by Xing'er by one character "Hai".

Imperial concubine knows that the emperor wanted to put Chun'er to death, so she get ahead by drinking the poisonous wine to exchange the life of Chun'er. Giving consideration with love, the emperor deprives the princess from Chun'er and keeps her from getting out of the Palace. Chun'er remains seated and refuses to eat anything, just holds the Safety Fu her mother asked for her with her tears falling like rain. Yanxun asks Chu Qiao to challenge his subordinates face to face, which makes Chu Qiao think Yanxun doesn t trust her. Yuwen Yue practices the martial art with eyes being blindfolded, and his grandfather is very satisfied with it. Later, Yuan Song is appointed as the Duke of Yanbei, and then he goes to frontier juncture with Yuwen Yue to defense the invasion of Yanxun.

When the dawn comes, the forbidden army attacks into Hongchuan while the Xiuli Army suffered heavy causalities. Right at the moment when Chun'er is about to kill Chu Qiao, Yuwen Yue arrives and saves her with the Arrow of Ice. Yan Xun leads his main troops rushing to Hongchuan. Wei Shuye knows he cannot beat them so he takes Chun'er and his army to retreat. Ge Qi of Xiuli Army unluckily loses his life in the war. Xan Xun sends out pension to the family of the deceased, by which the title of betrayers on Xiuli Army is completely removed. Chun'er is taken into custody and Wei Shuye is held in his home with his power cut, too.

Chu Qiao blows the Tartar pipe with tears to send the passionate affection to Yanxun. Du Pingan knows the meaning of the music, so he recites a poem.Yanxun breaks through the border of Meilin and is headed for Chang'an. Yuwen Yue and the Prince Xiang discuss the straggles to stop him.Chun'er wants to kill Chu Qiao regardless of all consequences; it is of no avail that Wei Shuye dissuaded her not to do it.Yanxun is worried about that Chu Qiao would defend to the death at Hong Chuan, so he sends Zhong Yu to take Chu Qiao away.However, Chu Qiao doesn't want to abandon the people of Yanbei, so she decides to lead the troop of Xiuli to defend the city gates.The princess Chun'er leads the imperial guard troops to lay siege to the city the same night. Chu Qiao tells everyone that Yanxun will come to aid in two days, and starts to evacuate the civilians while enhances troop morale to defend Hong Chuan.Knowing the news, Yanxun decides to give up Chang'an to reinforce Hong Chuan.

He Xiao let Chu Qiao to command the Xiuli Army. She inspired the spirit of all the soldiers. Xiuli Army reached the gate of Hongchuan City but the guards there only wanted to use the city as a bait. They planed to retreat from the secret channel and leave all the civilians aside if the army of Wei attack them. They tried to lure Chu Qiao in but were stopped by Feng Mian. He fell off the wall of the gate trying to save her. Chu Qiao went on the horse and killed the leader guard of the city and Xiuli army finally enter it. Yuan Chun determined to kill Chu. She used the military decreed she stole to order the troops to attack Hongchuan without caring for the safety of Changan. Hearing this news Yan Xun decided to give up the Meilin border and attack Changan directly. The civilians and troops in Hongchuan accept Chu Qiao and He Xiao. Although they are lack of food and weapon, Chu Qiao swears to protect Hongchuan till the death.
