Chaewoon becomes a full-time bodyguard for Jayu, the CEO of BF. Jayu struggles to fix the ransomware attack and asks Chaewoon for advice, counting on his experience. The two try to think of ways to catch the culprit, however, they realize governmental power is needed. Jayu asks Seonu Jae, the prime minister, to open an international investigation. He agrees to do so, in hopes of fixing the ransomware. However, another incident occurs at BF. A chief researcher gets in a car accident. Jayu begins to suspect that these incidents are tied to each other. That night, Chaewoon finds something suspicious about the hacking at the laboratory and visits Jayu.

It is Christmas Eve of 2025. BF, a biotechnology company, presents its new product. Everyone welcomes Yun Jayu, the cultured meat pioneer and the CEO of BF, and applauds the release of the new product despite of the ongoing protest outside. Then, a stockbreeder commits suicide by falling on Jayu's vehicle on her way home. Chaewoon appears at the scene, and Jayu is suspicious and intrigued by him. Another incident occurs at BF, and its lab is attacked by a ransomware. Jayu contemplates whether or not to ask Chaewoon for advice.
