In this epic octopus adventure, Blue World visits two aquaria to learn about the Giant Pacific octopus, and then we travel to Seattle, Washington (USA) to join the Seattle Aquarium dive team on an octopus survey.

508. Shark's "Tonic Immobility" in the Bahamas plus Diving with NASA

Blue World visits a world-renown shark handler, who will show us how to put Caribbean Reef sharks into a relaxed state known as tonic immobility! Then, we head to NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab where astronauts train for spacewalking underwater.

507. Sand Tiger Sharks plus Marine Biology in Turks and Caicos

Blue World heads down to some shipwrecks to observe how these wrecks have become home to Sand Tiger sharks. Then, we visit the School for Field Studies in the Turks & Caicos Islands to learn how to pursue a degree in Marine Studies.

Blue World investigates some of the densest coral reefs in the Caribbean as they spawn under cover of darkness. Then we head to the Sea Hunt Forever Festival, celebrating the classic TV show Sea Hunt and its vintage scuba gear.

Blue World explores remote cenotes in the deep Yucatan jungle that were once used for Mayan rituals. We encounter strange alien life forms that live in total darkness, and the remains of humans and animal sacrifices from an ancient culture.

Cave diving is the most difficult and dangerous type of diving, so the training to become a certified cave diver is arduous. We document Jonathan Bird's actual cave training in the Bahamas and follow him as he learns how to dive safely in a cave.

Blue World travels to Iceland to investigate what is rumored to be the clearest water in the world. Next, we head down to sunny Florida to dive in shallow, murky water under a busy bridge; home to some of the ocean's most remarkable, and weird, animals.

Host Jonathan Bird travels to the Bahamas, where, he learns how to flip a Tiger shark. Next, Jonathan joins world-renown cave explorer Brian Kakuk to investigate the Crystal Cave of Abaco, Bahamas!
