Julie Dixon and David Twigg were respected and beloved in the rural community of Burgh Le Marsh, Skegness, operating a thriving joinery business. Shock waves echoed throughout the county when masked intruders broke into the workshop, setting fire to the premises and killing David Twigg in the process. Emergency services were alerted by Julie Dixoris impassioned 999 call who had escaped the blaze.

The unexpected death of Caroline Devlin on the 26th March 2006 was met with an outpouring of grief from her four children and her boyfriend Robert Trigg. The post mortem whilst inconclusive suspected the cause of death as a brain aneurysm. Five years later, police received a 999 call from Robert Trigg reporting yet another unexplained death, his new girlfriend Susan Nicholson.

But on the 29th March 2016 a 999 call led police to discover a horrific blood soaked murder scene with two victims stabbed to death and two others in critical condition. The following police investigation would uncover a violent past, a web of lies and a conspiracy to conceal the murder weapon.

In Acomb, York, police received a concerned 999 call reporting the erratic behaviour of Mark Webb threatening to self harm. When a lone police officer arrived to check the disturbance, Mark Webb was found dead with his throat cut. But a neighbour's eyewitness account would throw the investigation into turmoil and lead to the arrest of four of Acomb's residents.

On October 13th 2011, Christopher Strettle called 999 to report being confronted by his childhood friend Christopher Honnor who had come at him armed with a gun. The ensuing struggle had resulted in the gun going off. But as forensics began to investigate the Prescot shooting, a very different version of events would begin to emerge.
