Everyone's has his or her own idea for making the day special and pretty soon everyone is fighting over how the wedding should unfold. The day is headed for disaster until Doug steps in and reminds everyone that the wedding is not about the arrangements, but about celebrating the happiness of two people whom they love.

Doug asks his dad's old band to play at the school dance, but when Doug hears them rehearse, they're terrible! Doug has to decide between hurting his dad's feelings by telling him they can't play, or risking humiliation when the awful band plays. When he sees how excited his dad is, Doug decides to let them play. The band takes the stage - and they're good! They were just a little rusty before.

25. Quailman Vs. The Little Rubber Army

Fixated on winning Survival Saturday, Doug ignores Bluffscout Patrol member Todd. Discouraged, Todd joins with Roger. Doug, feeling guilty, takes refuge in a fantasy in which Quailman is saddled with hero trainee Kid Quail. Quailman learns a lesson, though, when Kid Quail joins with the evil Rubbersuit. In reality, Doug realizes that he let Todd down, and promises to teach him everything he knows.

Doug and Skeeter encounter a 'kid' named Webster online and agree to meet in the park to exchange records. Webster is really 'Friendly Frankie,' a grown-man who steals their records while the boys are distracted. Later, at Friendly Frankie's Used Records, Skeeter realizes that a lot of the 'new arrivals' are the same records that were stolen from them, but when they try to talk to Frankie he becomes defensive and intimidating, scaring the boys. Fortunately, Mr. Dink and Mayor Tippi come to the rescue.

Doug loans Roger his press pass so Roger can get into a movie screening. When the town paper publishes unkind remarks about Bluffington's citizens attributed to 'Weekly Beebe' reporter Doug Funnie, Doug has to decide which is worse: to admit that he loaned out his pass, or to let people think the quotes were his. Through a Quailman fantasy, Doug learns that a person is judged by their deeds, not words. With this in mind, he confesses to loaning out his press pass.

22. Doug Plays Cupid

Roger gets Doug to teach him how to be a gentleman so that he can get Beebe to go to the big dance with him. Beebe agrees to go, but only to get revenge on Skeeter, who is going with Connie. At the dance, Roger cannot behave himself. Eventually Beebe yells that she only went with Roger to make Skeeter jealous - and Skeeter overhears her. Then Skeeter and Beebe reconcile, then join the other kids dancing.

21. Quailman Vs. The Triad of Terror

Generalissimo Twang convinces three evildoers (dubbed the Triad of Terror) that they can defeat Quailman together, allowing him to conquer the Earth. Though the trio seems to have Quailman at a loss, their bickering proves their undoing. Seeing that his conquest failed and the Triad is defeated, Twang decides to conquer another planet.

20. Doug Cuts School

Convinced that girls (especially Patti) like rebels, Doug decides to leave school during an assembly and have a wild adventure. He convinces Skeeter to come with him and they go to Swirly's, but with everyone else in school, it's boring. Doug and Skeeter return for the last few minutes of the assembly. Doug cockily tells Patti that he cut, but she thinks what he did was pretty lame. Doug realizes that cutting school was not cool at all, and that being 'nice' isn't so bad.

19. Quailman: The Un-Quail Saga

The night before Doug's Quailman comic for the school paper is due, Doug hasn't even begun drawing. He falls asleep, and dreams about Quailman battling Dr. Rubbersuit. Despite the difficulty of the fight, Quailman never gives up and manages to defeat Rubbersuit. Doug realizes that the best way to complete a project is not to delay, but to begin by whatever means available.

18. Quailman And The L.U.B.

Judy as director forces Doug and his friends to do a Shakespearean tribute to recycling instead of a fun play, and Doug slips into fantasy. Quailman and the League of Ultra-Buddies (L.U.B.) are pitted against the egotistical Judy-Dra, who causes chaos throughout the city. The superheroes outsmart Judy-Dra and save the city. Back in reality, Doug suggests to the cast that they do everything Judy's way, so she'll see how wrong she is. The plan works, and Judy agrees to do the play Doug and the gang wanted to do in the first place.

Beebe Bluff's family is penniless due to heavy investments in the destroyed Yakestonian snoozegraffle crop. As the gang romps in the park and lounges on the beach, Beebe cheers up and thanks them for showing her that friendship is more important than money.

In a fantasy, an epidemic of uncontrollable hair sweeps the city of Megalopolis and only Quailman can stop it. Back in reality, Doug realizes he has spent too much time worrying about his looks and then finds the other kids, including Patti, are just as self-conscious about their photos as he was.

The contest to write the official Bluffington Anthem is on. Impressed by Patti's lyrics, Doug persuades her to sing. She is awful, but Doug tells her that she's great. On the day of the contest, Doug finally tells Patti that she is a terrible singer. She's upset that Doug wasn't honest with her from the beginning. Patti recites her song as a 'poem' with Doug and the gang playing softly in the background, and they receive a standing ovation.

Suddenly, Quaildad doesn't seem so doofy anymore and neither does Doug's dad when he puts off cleaning Grandma Funnie's attic so that Doug can go to the recording session.

Patti finds Doug and explains that Guy tried to kiss her and that's why she left. Patti's not ready for kissing yet either.
