With the album now complete, Nora tries to tell the band the good news: she’s booked them to play at the famed Hollywood Bowl. Unfortunately, they’re too distracted with their new personal, solo endeavors to even hear it. During a high-profile live radio show, the band makes an impromptu announcement about their future that makes Nora realize that her dream to take over the record label may have come at a huge cost. For help, Nora is forced to reach out to the one person who knows the band best.

When The Electric Mayhem dives head first into the world of social media, they wind-up inciting a feud with die-hard superfans of the music industry’s biggest stars. Much to Moog's protests, JJ and Nora aim to turn this misfortune into opportunity, when they arrange for the band to headline their very own virtual video game concert. It's 8-bit warfare when the band is forced to turn things around in a way that only The Electric Mayhem can.

Inspired by "The Beatles: Get Back", Nora and JJ recruit a famous director to film a documentary that captures the band’s love and harmonious album-making process. When Hannah meddles with some romantic behind-the-scenes advice, the film gets overshadowed by JJ and Moog as they compete for Nora’s affection. Meanwhile, age-old band issues bubble to the surface, causing the documentary to devolve into conflict and chaos. What will it take for the band to remember that "all they need is love"?

Progress on The Electric Mayhem’s album is derailed when Dr. Teeth’s parents make a surprise appearance, demanding he return to his place as heir to the Teeth family dental practice. To resolve this lifelong conflict, Dr. Teeth must go through his unique “process,” which flashes him back through pivotal moments of his past. Things get worse when Nora intervenes, forcing the band to go to great lengths to remind Dr. Teeth who he really is as he's forced to choose between dentistry and destiny.

Realizing the band has been suffering from a decades-long writer’s block, Nora hatches the perfect plan for some much-needed creative inspiration: a road trip to Joshua Tree. Things don’t go as planned in the desert, however, as Nora and each of the band members inadvertently embark on a psychedelic journey of self-discovery. Will these trips leave them with hope, answers and more importantly, a new song? The answer - and more questions - lie in the desert...

Convinced the band needs to find a “new sound,” Nora arranges a star-studded series of collaborations with top artists representing a variety of genres – from pop to EDM to mumble rap to reggae – despite the better judgment of wannabe-producer Moog. When things don’t go as planned, Nora wonders if the perfect collaborator for the band may just have been under her nose this whole time. In an effort to heal the rift between Nora and Hannah, Janice shares a surprising personal revelation.

Unfamiliar with the high-tech equipment in his state-of-the-art studio, they struggle to find their groove, resulting in a big misunderstanding, forcing Animal to quit the band. As the band struggles to find their drummer, Nora struggles to find the meaning of family and home.
