4. North Wales

Julie was once ‘banned from every pub’ in Aberystwyth, Wales! So, she swiftly heads north to Tywyn - famous for its heritage steam railway and the inspiration behind Thomas the Tank Engine. Later she catches the famous Ffestiniog railway through Snowdonia National Park. Julie is surprised to find herself booked onto the fastest zip wire in Europe where she will be travelling at 100 miles an hour. There is time to drop off at Flint and the largest pet cemetery in Europe before the final stop in Liverpool, where Julie first started her acting career, where it's time for that drink she was denied in Aberystwyth!

3. Devon and Cornwall

Julie travels on the famous Great Western Railway, heading down to Cornwall where she experiences the first of many wonders - the coastal tunnels and seaside tracks of Dawlish. At Paignton, Julie boards the heritage steam line to Kingswear Castle, which she fears may be haunted! Catching the mainline towards Polperro, Julie discovers the cute fishing village to be full of mugglers' tales. After travelling on one of the most beautiful coastal journeys to St Ives, Julie joins the Royal National Lifeboat Institution on a practice - only to return as seasick as a dog!

2. The East Coast Line

Julie hops aboard the mainline high-speed train bound for Edinburgh, stopping off in Alnwick to discover one of the biggest and most beautiful second-hand bookshops in Britain and to help rebuild a railway track closed by the infamous 'Beeching cuts'. Julie then heads north, hitching a ride in the driver's cabin of the 125 train!

1. The West Highlands

Julie kicks off the series with a ride on the West Highland Railway in Scotland; considered the most scenic railway in the world. She is reunited with the famous Jacobite steam train which held a starring role in the Harry Potter films and receives some Second World War training in ‘extreme violence’! The episode ends in the most remote communities in the Western Highlands where Julie gets to know and love the Highland cattle and their wrangler.
