The Glacier's Secret
This entry in the "Vagabond Adventure Series" stars "Tom Terris, the Vagabond Director," a globetrotter with one very theatrical British accent who here takes us to New Zealand. After spending a little more time than necessary with sheep, we accompany Tom and a guide on a treacherous, icy trek across a glacier. As the short goes on, its ostensible documentary nature becomes increasingly more dubious with material about a tragic long-ago honeymoon accident on the glacier that clearly involves staged (and maudlin) material. We're advised to come back soon for more "thrilling adventures," but it is unclear whether Tom ever returned to the screen (or, indeed, whether "the Vagabond Director" was a real person or not). - Dennis Harvey
